Music for All’s ensembles are among the crown jewels of the Music for All National Festival. Individual high school musicians are selected by recorded audition. Members play challenging repertoire under the direction of renowned conductors, alongside outstanding student musicians from across America. Each honor ensemble performs in concert on the final evening of the Festival, Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Applicants will complete an online application form, submit a recorded audition, and application fee. All applicants, regardless of status, receive written evaluation of their audition recording when notifications are sent out in November.
The Honor Ensemble experience is designed to be a residential experience at the Festival headquarters hotel in downtown Indianapolis, IN. There will be no commuter packages available.
All honor ensemble members must arrive by 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 30 for registration followed by the honor ensemble orientation meetings. Honor ensemble concerts will conclude by 11 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 2. All honor ensemble packages include housing on Sunday night, for Monday morning departures. Members will not be refunded if they depart early and do not use their hotel room on Sunday night.
Roommate requests will be available but are not guaranteed. You do not need to know any other students to accept your position and participate in the experience. Students in both an Honor Ensemble and school ensemble will pay the Honor Ensemble package price and be housed in the Honor Ensemble rooming block.
Music for All will provide a lead chaperone to lead the team, but parents of honor ensemble students will be given the option to apply for a chaperone position. Chaperones will need to pay the package price to cover their expenses.
By agreeing to participate in the Music for All National Festival with one of the Honor Ensemble Packages, the participating student agrees to pay the total package amount in three installments by the dates listed as follows:
Payment 1 – Deposit of $300 due December 1, 2022 (Non-Refundable)
Payment 2 – 50% of Balance due January 1, 2023
Payment 3 – Remaining balance due February 1, 2023
*Information on how to accept your Honor Ensemble position, register for housing and pay your deposit online will be sent out via email with the audition results.
**Payment Options: Mailing in checks is an option, but online credit card payments are preferred.
Students and Family members may share a room. No single rooms will be offered for students. All packages are housed in rooms with two (2) Queen beds. Roll away beds are not permitted.
